Having worked in a variety of healthcare, recreational, educational, and private-practice settings; I offer a grounded, well-rounded approach to intervention. Rather than trying to fit you into any one modality of therapy, I listen deeply for what is needed. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, it is a natural part of my process to not only understand the environment in which you live but also to mobilize supplemental resources for you to use outside of our time together. I value remaining attuned to your needs and to the realities of your situation, while we engage in creative problem-solving, perspective-taking, growth and development. While I've got loads of experience supporting clients and community members as an "AD/HD, Parent &/or Wellness Coach", "Yoga Nidra & Mindfulness Instructor", "Mental Health Counselor", "Group Therapist", "Case Manager", "Educator", and "Consultant" - my mentorship style and specialties, skills, intrigues, and investments are wide-ranging and widely applicable. To this end, my goal remains simple: To help you help yourself - with heartfelt compassion and careful consideration for all that lays outside of your control.
I want to change the mental health game by making mental health support and psychoeducation more accessible and (even) enjoyable, which is why I maintain a small caseload and remain committed to teaching in nontraditional spaces, wherever possible. A therapeutic relationship is deeply personal and requires both trust and chemistry - kindness and challenge. While there are countless counselors and coaches to choose from, here's what distinguishes me: (1) I draw from my own personal, dynamic life experiences; (2) I am a devoted pathfinder & humble student - committed to unending learning & to the use of a holistic approach for growth, health & wellness; and (3) I value authenticity, courage, self-compassion, creative problem-solving, & non-judgmental transparency in my work with others & above all else.
I am available for remote support - using both confidential and preferred platforms for virtual connection; as a licensed clinician in three states (i.e. Florida, Ohio, & North Carolina) and a coach, if not consultant, worldwide. I work selectively with individuals of all ages and abilities with a reputation for working most dynamically with youth, adolescents, adults in transition, caregivers, and folx attempting to navigate life's complexities with AD/HD, ASD, and T1D - among other chronic illnesses and conditions.
I most often draw from models of coaching to assist and empower students, persons living with chronic illness or conditions, and caregivers - alike; as do I pull from the time-tested methodologies used in CBT, EFT, MBSR, polyvagal theory, IFS, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing to promote meaningful change. I remain open to exploring supportive relationships with individual tweens, teens, young adults in transition, caregivers, and anyone else that gravitates toward my methodologies and style. I agree, after all, that variety is the absolute spice in life; and relish in maintaining a sense of diversity in my work and on my caseload, accordingly.

MORE from MY CLIENTS
Debbie, Preschool Director: Gainesville, FL
Brianna is amazing! We have used Brianna as a resource in introducing yoga and meditation into our early childhood program. She is very relatable, and our teachers found her ideas to be useful and easy to apply. She was able to do workshops for our staff on how to integrate mindfulness practices into the classroom, as well as yoga for young children. We love having Brianna conduct workshops whenever she can. She is a wealth of information and works well with both children and adults.
Working with Brianna has been a fantastic experience for our family - we have two boys that have seen her on and off for years. She's incredibly creative in terms of both approaches during session AND in coming up with incentives for practiced use of strategies outside of her office (the backyard camping trip was a huge motivator!). Her sharp observations in the classroom led to many very helpful changes and suggestions for both teachers and our son who is enrolled in a rigorous enrichment programs. She is a knowledgeable and tireless advocate in meetings (especially when faced with any resistance from school staff). As our eldest has gotten older he has really liked working with her via phone, text and online - something she's always been willing to do even on the weekends. He always feels better after a chat with Ms. B. His parents to do! She's the best - truly, an invaluable member of our team.

Ms. Brianna is a loving and powerful leader that kids just love. She encourages kids of all ages to explore new concepts and poses, while practicing teamwork and demonstrating self-control. Ms. B.'s expertise in both counseling and wellness makes her class into a rich educational experience for kids. My two daughters enjoyed Ms. B.'s yoga classes over the past four years in Gainesville, FL. They were always excited to go to class, and to share with me the latest they have learnt at Ms. B.'s class.

Brianna is a wonderful and caring woman. She was an amazing and important part in my son's recovery, while he went through his cancer treatment at Shands hospital many years ago. She always put a smile on his face when she entered the room; and she always made the time spent with him special, as she did with many of the children in the hospital. She worked creatively with him to prepare us for the amputation of his leg - a result of the cancer - and years later, Brianna helped our son to have an incredibly empowering experience at Camp Boggy Creek's cancer week. Over the years (he was 7 at the time of diagnosis, a high school graduate - now); our family has looked forward to seeing Brianna when we return to Gainesville for oncology follow-up. She has always found time to meet with us, even though she no longer works for the hospital... She has made a positive impact on all of us. I can't express enough how wonderful she is as both a professional in her field & person in our lives!

Brianna is a genuine person that both my daughter and I found great benefit in working with. Raising teenage girls in today's society has a multitude of challenges, and it seemed like everything hit us around the same time - issues at home, issues with extended family, hormonal changes, & negative peer influences. As a mother, I felt like I was losing my daughter.
Our pediatrician referred us to Brianna, who was extremely proficient in looking at the issues from all angles and in explaining things in ways that felt age-appropriate. My daughter appreciated her dedication to confidentiality, while I appreciated just how attuned she was to my concerns as a mom. When she saw worry/question marks in my eyes she would always comfort me with her opinion but without disclosing the details of respective conversations - something you may just have to experience to understand. She provides tools and education and has helped me to have more success in conversations with my daughter.
We appreciated the ways in which she flexes her schedule to meet the needs of families, and seems to schedule sessions based on the needs of the patient. In the thick of things, we would see her every few days. When things were calmer, we would stagger appointments at her recommendation. Currently, we are not seeing Brianna, however, every few weeks I ask my daughter if she would like to check in with her; as the door is always open for our return.
Life is full of speed bumps - for us, Brianna has been a real blessing!
