Brianna Adele Schiavoni : LISW, LCSW
Counselor, coach, mindfulness & movement arts instructor * Yoga nidra guide

Creative director: Mindful Milestones, llc

Helping children, caregivers & communities at large - One milestone at a time

A Little About Myself:

Rooted in curiosity and in compassion, I offer a client-centered creative approach to personal growth, mental health and wellness. I work with a variety of individuals - tall and small, neurotypical and uniquely-wired, with- and without-chronic conditions &/or diagnoses. I offer telemental health to adolescents, caregivers, young adults, and women of all ages - whether they attend school, work outside of the home or have committed themselves to the care and safe-keeping of others. I am an aspiring healing artist with licenses to counsel, coach and teach statewide in both Ohio (where I am paneled with a growing number of insurance providers) and in Florida. My name is Brianna Adele Schiavoni, and it is both my pleasure and privilege to entertain a therapeutic relationship with you.

Having worked in a variety of healthcare, recreational, educational, and private-practice settings; I offer a grounded, well-rounded approach to intervention. Rather than trying to fit you into any one modality of therapy, I listen deeply for what is needed - attending to unsolved problems and lagging skills where indicated. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW & LISW), it is a natural part of my process to not only understand the environment in which you live but also to mobilize supplemental resources for you to use outside of our time together. I value remaining attuned to your needs and to the realities of your situation, while we engage in creative problem-solving.

While I've got loads of experience supporting clients as an "Academic, AD/HD &/or Parent Coach", "Yoga & Mindfulness Instructor", "Case Manager", "Consultant" &/or "Wellness Coach" - my mentorship style and specialties, skills, intrigues, and investments are wide-ranging and widely applicable. To this end, my goal remains simple: To help you help yourself with heartfelt compassion and careful consideration for all that lays outside of your control.

I want to change the mental health game by making mental health support and psychoeducation more accessible and (even) enjoyable, which is why you'll find me teaching in nontraditional spaces and in out-of-the-box ways wherever possible. A therapeutic relationship is, however, deeply personal and requires both trust and chemistry - kindness and challenge. While there are countless counselors and coaches to choose from, here's what distinguishes me:
  1. I draw from my own personal, dynamic life experiences;
  2. I am a devoted pathfinder & humble student - committed to unending learning & to the use of a holistic approach for growth, health & wellness;
  3. I value authenticity, courage, self-compassion, creative problem-solving, & non-judgmental transparency in my work with others & above all else.

What, I wonder, do you feel inside of yourself as you read this? Curiosity, encouragement, hope...? Let's chat to see if we're a good fit!

This SAMPLE MENU is meant to inspire creative collaboration with parents, teachers, programming directors or others interested in dynamic programming options for groups of folks of all ages and abilities.

  • THINK: Self-Care Retreat (Grateful to share the art of Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra (R) for deep states of relaxation and rejuvenation -  helping you to awaken to your Real, Whole Self)
  • THINK: Birthday Parties (I face paint with a twist of yoga :)
  • THINK: Special Celebrations or Ceremonies (Having lived in New Orleans, I am a firm believer in the power of celebration and in the strategic use of ceremony - let us celebrate rites of passage and acknowledge losses & transitions. My own Blessing Way to celebrate menarche played a pivotal role in development at age 13).
  • THINK: Corporate Retreats or Employee Assistance Programming (30-minutes of Yoga Nidra - a guided meditation practice - is arguably as restorative as 3-hours of sleep!)
  • THINK: Private Group Instruction (Perhaps you've got a small group of children eager to play yoga or in need of learning more about the mind-body connection? A family yoga class to strengthen ties? Maybe you've got a small group of girls in mind, who could benefit from interpersonal skills development or a group of students with  executive dysfunction, who might benefit from learning the art of fidgeting for focus??)
  • THINK: Education for Empowerment (The Meditation as Medicine mini-series offered at the public library to folks 50+ resounds success, still; as have studios packed seats for my Learn to Play Yoga with your Children and Intro to Yoga Nidra workshops :)
  • THINK: Therapeutic Camping Endeavors (Summer, Winter and Spring Breaks are more often seen as time for respite but arguably offer priceless opportunities for growth and development - why not craft an intervention with me that allows for both!? Take a peek at the therapeutic camp-work I've done with youth for more insight. I, myself, am a proud product of a dynamic diabetes camp experience afforded to me shortly after diagnosis at age 14).
