CALENDAR OF EVENTS

REGULARLY SCHEDULED

Sundays 4-5:15 PM
@ Body Wisdom Healing Group, llc: Clintonville
3001 Indianola Ave., Columbus, OH 43202 * (614) 784-9473
  • Yoga Nidra: Transitioning from One Week to the Next
Give yourself permission to rest, balance & restore as you transition from one week to the next with the practice of yoga nidra a sleep based form of meditation based on the biology of your own body & on the different states of mind explored in yogic texts, philosophy & psychology. Using meditative techniques, like breath awareness, body scanning, natural imagery, & healing sound. Certified instructor and licensed mental health therapist, Brianna Schiavoni, will systematically guide you along an ancient map of the human being known as the five koshas for deep relaxation, integration & revitalization. While resting motionless, YN invites you to exercise NONjudgment & NONstriving two qualities inherent in true meditation practices. Simply noticing each layer of your being, without efforting towards change or repair, allows for dynamic shifts in consciousness & an awakening to our truest nature & our highest potential. Suspended in the space between wakefulness & sleep where the conscious, subconscious & unconscious dimensions occur simultaneously a person becomes much more open & receptive to restored states of health & betterment. Respectively, the art of Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra encourages the self-propelled use of a sankalpa or positive intention with affirmation, while resting in this state of deep introversion & openness. A perfect medium for weekly transformation & mindful transition to a new week, each week.
  • PJs welcomed. Class is suitable for all ages & abilities. Materials for a supported practice will be provided at no additional fee.
  • Space is limited but walk-ins are welcomed. Register at MindBody to reserve your spot in advance.
